Blue snake woad pouch by Archanejil Blue snake woad pouch by Archanejil
Commission for a chap with a type of woading linked to his group -- each one including a hidden word. It's a bag made for an A5 notebook, though I've been reliably told it's also held colouring crayons and a rubber ducky.

Made from 2mm thick vegtan leather, dyed with Fiebing's dyes; handstamped and my design. I must admit, I'm really proud of how straight the hand-stitching came out on the back of the bag, and how well the knotwork around the edges came out.

You always amaze me! Good thing I am on this side of the pond! I would be over at your work shop as a grouppy! Just fantastic work!

Aw, thank you hun. I *wish* I had a workshop. My other half suffers with a work table in the living room, bless! It is getting to the point where I need to think about it though...

Your welcome! I am temporarily stuffed in a guest bedroom doing the minimal work I can do until I can get my eldest daughter's stuff out of my shop!! So do you stop tapping away when a show is on the television such as Sherlock or Doctor Who? ( Okay I will admit I do watch both of programs!) But I do need to suspend my work when the family has a show they want to watch.?!

I make *far* too much kit to Doctor Who. And Being Human. And Dexter. And True Blood. And Sons of Anarchy. And... (you get the picture). It's just me and the other half, so he doesn't mind me tapping away. We're now making a press for leather this week and getting some plates etched, so here's hoping it's quieter for him from now on (for some projects, at least!).

You've found two letters. Hint: The S isn't an S. It's a c. And the word isn't all that polite, but it's also a boy's name.

Now that's a killer bag! When you dye two-tone things, do you do resist dyeing? Or do you lay down the blue then go in reaaal carefully with the black?

Reeeeeaaaaaaal carefully with the black. Lay down the blue first because then the black comes out far more even. The textured areas are quite a bit lower lying than the rest of it, so it's not *as* hard as it sounds...

I've done something similar with purple and black before, but on a MUCH smaller scale!

...oh... now I need to find a reason to try that... also red and black...

I need to get through todays makes before I get any more ideas! You're a bad person (thank you, lol)

I need to try their dyes -- I've seen so much prettiness done with them...
