A satchel type bag I decided to make for myself.

3.5mm thick bridal leather. Tooled & stamped, antiqued and then dyed with acrylic dyes, finished with resoline on the painted areas and carnuaba wax on the rest of the bag.

Design was inspired by a combination of steampunk themes & Old High Gallifrey/Doctor Who designs.

I still argue that Pluto is a planet!

This is brilliant! Especially the different colors used in the leather. How'd you do that? It adds a certain togetherness that the satchel would have otherwise lacked. Amazing work!

Thank you :D

I used acrylic dyes on a piece of pre-dyed leather. Then I antiqued over the top and used resolene (on this bag) to seal it. I now use lacquer as it gives a slightly smoother and more durable finish. I still have this as my handbag, and I really have abused it over the last year. What's interesting is that it actually gets even cooler looking the more battered it becomes!

Leather's cool like that. The more wear and tear the more textured and discolored it becomes. But it's a pretty discoloration, and an interesting texture. That's what I like these old leather boots I have that are older than I am. They're very much fun. :XD:
