Ladies Hero Belt

This is a hero belt/kidney belt made for a friend of mine. Ladies are (obviously) shaped a little differently from blokes, so these belts have a very different pattern to the male versions. These are largely designed to take some of the weight from armour off the shoulders and place it onto the hips, although they are also designed to look good.

It's made from 2.5mm thick vegtan leather, all hand-carved and hand-tooled. I created the horse design as a variant of a common horse-knotwork design. All dyed using the same colour dye, just at differing levels of tint. It has 3" of adjustability around the waist and hips, allowing for kit and movement.

The braiding actually wasn't as difficult to do this time around -- just needed a bit of practice!
